Wonderful Winter Harp weekend!

Wasn’t that a nice weekend? I confess to not being tired of bragging about my student Hayley and the wonderful playing she did with Lani as the two harpists holding down centre stage! Saw the show yesterday in Nanaimo and my heart was full of beauty indeed.

Thanks to Mariellen and Eleanor for looking after CD sales there!

Then today - the students played SO well to an appreciative audience of supportive families, not to mention the couple hundred audience members who took in the recital as well. Good job! Everyone stayed so focussed, and played with love for the music - can’t ask for better than that.

Of course after that we trooped in to see the professionals - not only harps but many percussion instruments, a zillion kind of flutes, violin, viola, and hurdy-gurdy, and the glorious voice of Roger Helfrick. Quite an afternoon!
