the listening challenge week 3

Samantha Ballard was one of Elizabeth's studnets at UBC. If people are learning any of Elizabeth's pices, I send them to Samantha's recordings - a great reference.

But this is the Smetana's famous Moldau.  It was written for orchestra but harp transcriptions are very popular. If you love this, you can find a zillion more people playing it on YouTube.

It could get you saving up for pedal harp - just too chromatic for levers - and I don't say that easily

Amazing to watch her hands and her concentration is total. Don't think I'd ever be able to co-ordinate my hands that well, let alone adding foot pedals into the mix. Very inspiring!

This rendition is a delight to listen to. I second the comment about the hand coordination and fluidity. I will be watching some more for my hand work.

Wow this is such a big piece! She has beautiful technique. Arms are so relaxed !i enjoyed it, but I though there was even more drama needed...but I'm sure that will come.
