Harp and Cello Festival in Duncan, BC

This workshop is over, but I've already committed to another  - with added violin this time - for Feb. 2020. Not even 2 years away, so you can plan accordingly. It was a wonderful weekend. Morag will return of course, along with the wonderful violinist - more details over time...

It's really happening - the Great CVMTA Harp and Cello Fest, February 23 and 24th, 2018! This should be an amazing and well-packed two days!

Morag Northey is the cello clinician who will astound you with her insights and teaching style. Marilyn is handling the harp portion, but we plan to do a lot together - to introduce a number of pieces for harp and cello, and then play them in ensemble, and then separate the groups to workshop the music and then come together again - it should be beautiful, for it is a fabulous combination. If you have a cello playing music partner, even better, but if you don't, here is chance to find one!!

The day time (9:30 - 3:30) is just the beginning!  Friday night we'll have a concert, with Morag and Marilyn and the Vancouver Island Youth Harp Ensemble, followed by a jam to which all instruments are invited.

Saturday the workshop resumes with more classes and ensembles (9:30-3:30). Then Saturday night is the performance of "17", Morag's two-woman show about a life with cello. Definitely not a still life with cello! It is a wonderful and moving show, with a narrator and Morag, who plays, sings, and astonishes.

Cost for the full two days is $125. If you want to bring someone to the show, (and I hope you do)  additional tickets are $20 each.
