Music from Taize is a prayer and a chant, a meditation and a comfort - music for your soul. It mostly features short and repetitive pieces that are very sophisticated musically, and have a million different ways to play the same piece. This Sunday morning session (Pacific Daylight time) will serve church musicians with no church to play for just now, and anyone else who wants to be inspired by Berthier's marvelous works.

I'll be teaching by rote, by ear and by understanding and applying chords, but you may find it advantageous to order the two source books I will be using, "Music from Taize volumes I and II. Vocal editions". There are also Instrumental editions for each of these with valuable parts for many different instruments, most of which could be adapted for harp.

Long and McQuade has the nice spiral bound editions of Vol 1 and 2 listed on their website, and if you live near a Long and McQuade store you could pick it up and save yourself the shipping costs. (Great price as well)

The instrumental ones seem only to be available from the publisher, Gia Music. I recently ordered a copy, and they say it has shipped, but I haven't receive it yet.

Not sure if this is for you? - there is plenty of Taize music on Youtube - have a listen! or email me.

In the spirit the Sunday offering, I am making this course a pay what you will, minimum $10. 6 sessions; Sundays 11:30 am PST on Zoom.

Dates: June 14 and 28, Julyn 12 and 26, August 9 and 25
